Thomas Hambright CMT CAMTC certifified #26374
My initial CMT training was accomplished at Hands on Healing Institute in Los Angeles CA followed by hundreds of hours of elective classes including John F. Barnes myofascial release seminars and Itegrated Neuromuscular Re-Education.
I had a blooming massage practice just a few months out of massage school when I went to work part time for a physical therapist who specializes in Myofascial Release in 2005. After my first MFR seminar it was clear to me that I was meant to do this work. So many of my clients have told me of being freed from pain and lack of mobility which they have suffered with for years when no other therapy had helped them.
I still work part time at the PT office. I teach Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy part time at Hands on Healing Institute but mostly I love giving individualized therapy to my clients in their home or at my home office.
My practice philosophy is simple. (1.) There is no protocol for any given situation. (2.) I use the skills and tools I have learned to locate and free my clients from the fascial restrictions that are the cause of their pain and dysfunction. (3.) I treat every one with respect knowing that they alone know how it feels to be in their own body. (4.) Provide a safe enviroment for healing, allowing for emotional feelings may also come out during the release of fascial restrictions.
